TWP Australia invloved in study for Far Southeast Project
TWP Australia has been awarded the cost estimation review for the Far Southeast project in the Philippines. The client, Metro Pacific Investments Corporation has commissioned an updated costing (conceptual level) for the estimate which was originally completed in 1995. TWP Australia's scope involves updating the study to June 2009 costs for the Production and Ventilation shaft. The Production shaft is 10.5m in diameter and approx 1,730m in depth. It includes a 139 person man cage, a 46 person service cage and 4 skips. The Ventilation shaft is to be sunk to a depth of approx 1,490m including lateral development for pumping stations and crusher chamber. The Underground materials handling system and above ground materials handling system including the associated electrical and surface infrastructure is also part of the review. TWP Australia has a large portfolio of Underground Projects which to draw on with the expertise to complete this review.
