Nigel Townshend - Non-Executive Director &TWP Group Chief Executive Officer
TWP was founded in 1982 by Nigel Townshend in Johannesburg. Nigel emigrated to South Africa in 1978 after graduating from Loughborough University in the UK with a degree in Civil Engineering. A young CEO, Nigel dedicated himself to the growth of TWP and has been instrumental in the organisation's remarkable growth. His belief that TWP should diversify to become the only organisation in the world to offer a full range of engineering, finance, and project management solutions to the mining and minerals industries has proved extremely successful and his vision for the company continues to push it towards even greater heights.
Bryan Bailie - Executive Director & Managing Director TWP Australia
Bryan Bailie has 26 years of engineering and project management experience in mining, chemical manufacturing and consulting engineering. His experience base is backed by numerous qualifications and certifications in mechanical engineering, project management and business management.
Bryan's knowledge is underpinned by the hands on experience he has gained through his career in production operations & maintenance, capital project delivery and business management. His experience in mining extends through gold, platinum, diamond and chemical.
Bryan is a registered professional Mechanical Engineer and a PMI certified Project Management Professional. He is a dedicated leader and values the importance of the project management profession in the delivery of capital project excellence.
Murray Macnab - Non Executive Director TWP Australia & General Manager Mining TWP Group
Murray is a mechanical engineer with 24 years mining industry experience, including 20 years of shaft sinking projects. Murray prides himself in completing projects ahead of schedule and under budget, exceeding the client's quality expectations. Murray has a passion for shaft sinking projects and has a wealth of knowledge in this very specialized field. Murray has worked in many different countries sinking shafts and was instrumental in establishing TWP Australia. Serving on the Board of Directors for TWP, Murray believes in training and introducing new professionals to the mining industry, and in particular the shaft sinking discipline.
John Russell - Non Executive Director TWP Australia
John qualified as a mechanical engineer from the University of Strathclyde in the UK, and has almost 30 years experience in the mining and metallurgical industry. John's career background includes seven years of operational management on major world-class mines and 21 years in a mining and metallurgical project environment where he gained invaluable knowledge of all aspects of the business from the design office, to project programme management and general management. John has also held project management positions in Canada and Europe, and has been responsible for the successful operation of the TWP Rustenburg office. He has played a key role in the expansion of TWP's capability to deliver world-class metallurgical and process projects, and is currently project sponsor at TWP.
